I know this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the post in the search. Anyway where does everyone work to afford fixing up their ride, I'm looking for a job soon so I was just looking for ideas.

anyway,

I work two jobs like a madman.

I teach the Dental Admission Test for Kaplan and I work as the computer tech for Rutgers University Chemistry.

But alllllll my money goes to maintenance!!!! damn

Thanks for your reply, two jobs is tough but worth it if you like it. I go to school with 13 units and working two jobs let alone one would kill me. I barely study as it is. Looks like I'll have to wait a while before investing heavily in my ride.

I go to school full time too...18 credits...it's all about finding a job that works around your schedule.

Kaplan asks me when I can teach and when I want to teach...besides, it's only 6 hours a week worth of teaching (and that's only if people sign up for class)

The Chem dept. is a between class job. So I pull in about 20 hours a week here.

So, I still get time to study and have fun. Look for a job at your school. There's tons. There's got to be a job forum that posts part time jobs to do simple tasks. Average pay is around $8.00/hr for university jobs. You might get lucky and hit the high end of the band.

Besides, I'd much rather get my hop up parts legitimately and pay for them instead of getting hot parts for cheap or jackin them...damn those kids!!!

i used to race for cash....

RIIIIIIIGHT... hehehe i had to be the first to say it...
i worked my ass off at a very good paying job for two years to get my first ls/vtec rex. then it was trashed... now i work my ass off for less and pay bills... that's where all my money goes... bills... and suspension, and distributors, and speeding tickets... and on and on and on...

i get paid by the government to go to college 1200 a month and the tution is paid for and i am on unemployment 1300 a month trying to find a part time job but no one is hiring.

I'm a pilot and going to school part time. Hard to find time to work on the car. Seems like I'm never home.

$8 an hour, damn, i had a job here on campus and it was minium wage, something like $5.75, damn state university

I go home on the weekends and work doing maintence for a mall, mostly painting all the walls over and over again, its kinda boring, but for $9 clear, its worth it, im just waiting to get out of school and get a graphic design job paying 60k a year starting

It's hard for me to hook up my car because I have to pay rent, bills, and my school loans. I get about only $50 a week to spend on whatever I want but it mostly goes for things like food and gas for me and my wife. I would get a second job but I wanna spend time with my wife but if I was still single I would be making enough money to hhok up my car because I would just room up with my brother or live with my parent's.

MARRIED LIFE hard to work on car and wife.
