64bit builders come in!
so what 64 bit setup do you have?
i am planning on to upgrade my current setup to a Athlon 64 either between 3000 to 3500 with 1mb cache 90nm process. but im not sure whats a good 64bit board yet.
my current setup is
Athlon XP 3000+ Barton 400mhz fsb
Abit NF7-S V2.0
Corsair XMS extreme PC3200CL 400mhz memory
400w antec ps
ATI Radeon 9500 PRO OC'ed to 9700
I proably should not go more than AMD 64 3200 due to my memory speeds.?
balanced technology extended... dont worry about it, its a specification/standard, it wont make anything obsolete. Like going from OBD1 to OBD2. The atx form factor is btx

Let me know what ya think!
3200+ A64
asus k8v
antec 380w psu
ati 9800pro
kingston memory 1gb ddr500
theres not really much i can say about it since theres no 64 bit stuff out there. i tried windows xp 64, but when i tried looking for drivers, i couldn't. i'm thinking by the time the 64 bit stuff becomes the standard, my computer will probably be slow compared to what will be out.
check out reviews on tomshardware.com, hardocp.com, amdmb.com they should give you ideas on whats the best board out for the 64 chips. i'd go with asus though.

What I'm wanting to know bro is was it worth the extra for the 64 bit chip?
I've herd they are faster at 32 bit apps. I wanna build something new soon.
Computers are a much cheaper hobby than cars imo.
you'll see a noticable difference in games, encoding, and decoding. my upgrade from a 2ghz p4 to this chip was worth it. if you have a cpu thats rated at around 2.8ghz+, you could wait till the 64bit cpus get even more cheaper or the better wave of chips come in.

so what you are saying is that i should wait? because i have 3.0ghz or do you mean by real time? cause im running 2.1ghz real time now.
