Athlon 64 / 3DMark03 problems

So I just got my athlon 64 in, and it's CRAZY FAST. My 3dmark01 score is a little over 20K now... but when I run 3dmark03, the CPU score is WAY lower than my old computer was (athlon xp 1900). WTF is up with that? Anyone?

Oh.... nevermind. I just downloaded the new ATI Catalyst 3.9 drivers. It seems to have fixed it.

I highly suggest anyone running the shitty 3.8 drivers download the new ones. I gained 1000 in 3dmark01 and a few hundred in 3dmark03 (as well as 3x the CPU rating.... weird), and about 12 fps in ut2003 standard benchmark.

Really? I've always heard they were the same as normal ATI drivers, except tweaked for image quality (which wouldn't really make them any faster).

Yep, omegas are just basically tweaked for image quality and settings that are already predefined and can't be selected on the catalyst drivers.

I'm still on the 3.7's with my radeon 9500 ---> 9500 pro. I'll have to give these 3.9's a shot. I could really give a crap about 3dmark as long as the framerates stay high and the stability is there.

Thanks for the headsup.
