Audio editing software?
I have a bunch of mp3 and wma on my HD. but the volume is very low on them. is there a program that I can get that would give me the ability to turn the volume up on those songs?
Acid SoundForge is what I use to compile music. You CAN import an MP3 and change the master volume of it, and export it as a new MP3 file without distortion.
Any mp3 editing software program would render this work. Try this with FlexiMusic Wave Editor, where in, from the menu choose the "Volume" in which, select the "Simple Compress/ expand" option to opt the percentage of the volume for the entire mp3 file. I suggest that choosing 85% of volume would be optimum for the entire mp3 file. http://www.fleximusic.com/

They also have a portable version on www.portableapps.com. This will run off your usb flash drive. I use it at work pretty often. It's great and doesn't require you to install non-approved software on your companies machines. :-p
