ok, so i dled the family guy movie, but its in an avi format. for some reason none of my players will play it (winamp, wmp, quicktime, nothing) so i figured id just convert the file from AVI to mpeg or something. anyways, all of the conversion software ive found is crap (and by crap i mean i dont want to have to pay for it to get the whole file converted, or without the watermark) so, anyone have any suggestions for some decent, free conversion software? ive already tried dling a few on Limewire, and tehy all suck as well
do a search on limewire for WinAvi converter, it can convert almost anything to anything, I use it to convert my AVI or MPEG to DVD format so I can burn CDs and watch it on the big tv
as far as video conversions I use AVS Video converter. not free, but it lets me tweak absolutely everything very easily and converts it into many possible codecs from almost any other codec.
