OK, ill start of saying that, NO, i did not use the search or FAQ sections, so flame if you must, but be a little forgiving, im "new" to the computer thing, ive never really had any problems before, but....................
(copied my other post in the video forum.)
First of all, let me apologise in advance, I wasnt sure weither i should put this in Off Topic or video, but, since it relates to not being able to SEE the videos, i assumed it shoud go here.
OK, its like this, I was watching all of the videos a few days ago, everything was fine. I come back and some of them wouldn't play (dont remember names or hosts) but i got the sound just fine, figure my puter was boogered up, so i restarted, seemed to work... notice i said seemed.....
ok, so ive restarted about 5 times since the first incident, and im starting to get a little annoyed, im sure it has nothng to do with the sight and everything to do with my computer, so, heres my question......
Have any of you had problems viewing videos?? if so what was the problem/ solution. Im by no means a computer expert, i can read a diagram and build a modem, mother board, ect, i can even "build" a computer, but to figure out how the shit works, i have no idea, im an automotive technician, the closest i get to "fixing" a computer is reading a flash code or remapping a fuel curve, sooooooo completely different.
Ok, if you decided to read this whole thing, thank you
If you could help at all, that would be greatly appriciated.
Im running windows XP, and it varies on which videos dont play, but i have noticed that its mostly the streetfire and putfile videos, even some of the windows media......
ok, first video: Russell Peters in NY; Google, worked fine, video and sound (only watched the first 10 seconds), 2nd: JDM vs. Super Cars; also google, worked fine (first frew seconds) 3rd: Mario on bass.... ; Ifilms, (used wmp) worked fine, 4th: SEMA 2005 Video Coverage Featuring Tuned Civic Si ; dont know the host, but it played in wmp format, worked, 5th: Slr Vs Sl65 ; save file, played with real player, no video, only sound. I know i said best out of five, but im gonna do a few more, since only one of them didnt play....
6th: Kismo Skyline 700 Bhp Kismo-tuned Nissan Skyline GT-R34 ; streetfire, played fine 7th: TRUE rallying..... ; popped up in wmp, played fine, 8th: LS1 S2000 , streetfire, played fine.
guess its fixed, thanks man, i think the pone that didnt play is cause it said something about quick time, (dont know if i have it, no big deal, ill settle for 7 out of 8)

Real player has their own types of file and you should have used what you said quick time. That’s why you could only hear it!
