Best Dvd burning programs?

What are some good dvd burning programs... I am just trying to burn large amounts of images onto DVD.

nero(burns iso), alcohol 120%(burs .mds), or recordnow max(burns .img)

i primarily used nero to burn vob files.

what differentiates each file type? are they proprietary or are they universal?

I like Stomp RecordNow Max because of the verification features even when burning images.

Paradas Disk Juggler is another one I have on hand....primarily for .gi images

since they are "more or less proprietary" does that mean if i wanted to read them on a dvd player with a different program, it won't?

nope. end result is the same. it's just the format that the files are arranged before they're put onto dvd

if you download DVD Decrypter(which isn't being develope anymore but can still be downloaded) it'll burn serveral formats and a good ripping program. if you are planning on creating your own "backups" then you should download dvd shrink as well. if you care about qaulity, i suggest downloading DVD Rebuilder which utilize programs such as CCE and Procoder(which has to be downloaded seperately). It takes serveral hours but the quality is nicer.

most images are in .iso and .img format. i use dvd decrypter to burn .img files. I use nero for everything else.

yes dvd decryptor is great...i use it for my ps2 backups...

nero is great too, i use that for my dvd movies, i make from .avi's or other little movies i find on the internet

Nero is da shit... i never could say it sucked... so simple and great... i couldn't complain...
