looking for something decent, nothing real top-of-the-line obviously for the price range... just looking for a few ideas for anniversary gifts to give the mrs.

would like the best bang for the buck all around type of card.

Not to sound degrading or anything, any video card in the $100 range will give you relatively the same features and graphics power. But, I would suggest the brand names Nvidia or ATI.

Just check out tigerdirect.com or newegg.com for a video card that is either PCI-E or AGP.

What will the video card be used for?

The cheapest decent gaming cards at the moment are the 7600GT and x850xt.

Both are slightly out of your price range...

damn, you guys are quick.

it's for a pci-e, yes i know $100 isn't going to get me much in terms of varying performance, that's why it's an idea i won't be upset to have one, but it's not at the top of my priority list as far as needs.

as far as use, i do a bit of light gaming, would probably do more if i knew of any decent games that i don't have on ps2 already. i enjoyed fear on this current setup, but it was sporadically laggy seldomly on the lowest resolution (800x600)

but the crazy woman won't get me a set of tires or wheels
