bit torrent help
for some reason starting today, everything i try to download with bittorrent i get a pop up after 20 seconds that says.
problem connecting to tracker.- <url open tracker (10060, 'operation timed out')>
this just happened today and it was with all the torrents im trying. ive even tried random torrents with high seed rates

Is BitTorrent the client you're using? Try another one... like Azureus or something and see how that works out for you.

Yeah IMO Azureus is the best. It also lets you test the port to see if it's open.

bit tornado fucking blows, I was using that before I tried uTorrent, and utorrent actually works and is small and has more features.

i'd recommend uTorrent. I prefer it over Azureus. Azureus makes my computer sluggish and periodically d/c me from the internet. and with uTorrent you won't have to deal with java crap. other than those personal problems, it's an ok program.

yeah Azureus does make the puter sluggish after awhile. After I installed the 2gb of ram it helped...but when I leave it on overnight I still notice it.

no...thats what is weird. i used it the day before...... then i came home tried to d/l a cd and bam nothing but errors. even today im still gettng it.

Hell I'm using it to download DVD box sets 30+ GB etc. Takes a while but it gets done. Are you running this connection through a Linksys router? They have issues with the "stock" firmware.
