Burning movies problem...
I have not had a problem until recently. I put a movie into my dvd drive, open up dvd shrink, open the movie from there, then I back it up, and then put a blank dvd and copy and its done. Now when I put the movie in, and try the backing up bit, it gets to about 5%, and then stops. It says Failed to read the drive, and there was a data error, cyclic redundancy check. It started about 2 weeks ago and I have not been able to burn any movies. I have tried about 2 or 3 different ones all with the same results.
Well I use a different program for that, but lemme try.
that was gonna be my next question, does a different program write to a dvd, that would tell y ou if the drive itself is fine, and it could be a software problem
right click on the my computer icon, click manage, click on event viewer, then system. If you see a bunch of errors concerning atapi, you probably have a bad drive or cable, at least in my knowledge.
Bad media and corrupted software can give the cyclic error

not that I know, trial and error baby.
maybe you have a bad batch of DVDs, try a different DVD disc
if not working still, reinstall the burning software or use a different one
if not working still, you probably have a bad drive
It's a full moon, denim is tight, and my flannel shirt is freaking out.
Run for your life, cover your eyes, I don't want you to see me party this hard.
I've got a bone to pick with the morning sun and the first last call, but I didn't put my hair in a pony tail for nothing, so if I'm going home alone, I ain't going at all.

Well I looked at computer management, and it has error for my cdrom. A bunch of them. I guess tomorrow I'll run an errand and find some different blank dvds and try. Cause honestly, I burnt a movie two weeks ago, no problem, then I tried another movie and that one didn't work so I thought it was the movie, then I tried again with a different movie, and same shit.
