Buying RAM

im looking on RAM for my dell at newegg. does it matter which brand i go with? since they all say lifetime warranty? anyone had problems with newegg ram or products? thinking of geting a 512mb for my wifes dell.

i learned my mistake from buying at tiger direct. im doing some good research before buying shit

i would go with kingston or pny

corsair isnt bad either

aim for the kingston though



true they might all have life time warrantys, but why buy something that you have to send back every 3 months

now guessing that its a dell and that the memory died, im guessing that its only a couple years old?

i went with the corsair valueram 1gb for my dimension 3000 because that's that best my dell can handle. read the reviews on newegg, because most older dells can support only 2.5v for the ram slots.

is it for a notebook? cuz the one that you linked is for a notebook.

If you are not OCing the RAM, the brand dont really matter just as long as it is not generic.

dont get me wrong, dell is the leader in manufactured computers
not saying they're the best
they are just he leader, they get the most buisness, they are the most trusted

and yea i hope this is for a laptop, cause thats not gunna fit into a desktop
