Can't Get Onto Some Sites?

I just got a cable connection today it's friggin great compared to dial up. The thing is, for some reason I can't log onto some sites that I normally could on my dial up. I've been able to go to most sites but some sites like fileplanet.com, I can't. I don't think I have anything running that would hinder me checking out websites like a firewall or popup blocker. Anyone have any ideas why I wouldn't be able to get into some websites?

I dont know what the problem is but when i typed in fileplanet.com nothing came up.

i have no problems with fileplanet.com showing up so i don't think it's down. hmm...don't really know what the problem could be. but anyways, OS?, browser?.

edit: it may be that virus going around regarding servers.

what kind of message do you get when you try and log in? Is it a java console login? If so, make sure you have java enabled in your internet settings...sometimes the cable company software screws with your internet settings.

yes...try raising or lowering your MTU settings

go to www.dslreports.com/tools and do a tweak test on your computer and read what it recommends for you

thanks bud, the next day everything seemed to work fine, im guessing it was that worm causing me to have problems wit getting on some sites
