Codec Question

So where do i get codecs, and what are they? I tried playin a DVD that I got from Kazaa, and it says that i need to get a codec and blah blah, but i got nowhere to get it from. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance.

umm... you probably need a divx, xvid or some other kind of codec. my recommendation is to download a divx codec from www.divx.com. make sure you get the one that has no spyware in it...
