codecs all f-ed up

I did some screwing around with my codecs to try and get some rips of american chopper to play, and I ended up basically deleting every codec I ever had because everything wasn't playing right, DivX movies opened in WMP but no visual box was shown, just the browse line and some audio which was scritch scratch static. I don't know wtf is going on, but I d.l.'d about every codec pack available and can't get divx or xvid files to play in windows media player. I can open them in DivX Pro divx player, but I don't wanna have that as my player, since WMP is my default for vid files. any idea on what to do? I am kinda pissed.

I've been scrounging for any episodes. I only have the ones I ripped myself, which network did you get them from?

The codec pack that I have installed on all my computers is from www.cole2k.net

I have the divx 511 codec installed right now, and I can use the player it installs, to play divx files, but not WMP. I can't understand what's going on.

n/m, I finally fixed it by deleting everything codec-related and installing the k-lite pack.
