Actually I am at a friend's house when I go on this forum.
The spec: 2.2G processor, 60 G harddrive, running windows XP. Here is what happen:
before this happen, the computer always shut down. I think it's becuase of heat, unlike tower's, I think laptops in general have a hard time transfering heat. Sometimes, when I leave the computer is on for a long time, I think it goes into sleep mode, and when I get it back up, by pressing the keys; it wakes up saying it needs to dump things out of the cache memmory. out of 60 gig of harddrive I only have 800mb left. this may be affecting the performance of the system. I tried using the recovery disk that come with the comptuer. Since it will not reboot from the c drive I set it to reboot from the d drive (Cd). it would say, press r to run the recovery disk, I press r, then it reboot. it would say agian press r to run the disk, then I reboot./
