configuring MSN messenger - Honda Forum / Acura Forum

in my office we use msn messenger within the office... so we can IM each other only to those who are in the office.. i am wonder how u can change the setting so that u get disconnected and connect outside the office so i can use my messenger from people outside the office.

does anyone know how to do that????

My guess is have two names.

We use a diffrent type of IM at work that is connected to the exchange server. Just like MS.

But windows live at home.

Im not sure what your asking man.

You wanna use the same name and sign off when you leave work and back on when you get home?

If its a linked MSN messenger it might be internally hosted for communication within the business.

Id use two seperate names and it will work just fine. Keep business nad personal life seperate!

Do you just want sign on msn use 2 user names? then install the software from msnshell.com However, I think your company's network administrator has setup some firewall or restrictions prevent anybody from communicate with the other side of the firewall, sign in with a different sn probably is not gonna help.

yeah...there are firewall/restrictions...even looking up Superhonda.com, myspace and xanga etc... i have to use maxstealth.com to bypass all that... so im guess this won't work?

it's the stripped down verson of msn messenger, but holds all your contact information, it's bundled with the IE as part of the xp applications
