when i play CS, its fine. but when i hit ESC during gameplay, i get a black screen. then i hit ESC again, and im back to the game. anyone know what the problem could be? i think im running it with direct 3d. open gl dont work either, when i hit ESC my system locks up and i gotta restart my pc. last week i switched from Geforce 4 Ti 4600 to a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro and this started.
i think your problem is the catalyst 3.2 drivers... if you're using them try switching back to the 3.1's... they seem to beable to run everything just perfectly. also check out www.rage3d.com/board for all your ati needs. (there are more ati guru's there than you can imagine. ) not saying your question isn't good enough for here or anything. just that it's easier to find an answer there quickly.
