A while ago I used to registry editor to delete all my icons off my desktop. Well now I want them back, I searched and all I could come up with is how to remove the icons not restore them. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
Wow if you deleted your desktop icons from regedit, did you made a backup of th reg keys before deleting them ?
Well i you didnt, i would make a backup of all your data, create another user account, delete your old account, and voila, youve got a brand new desktop with all of your icons.
Make a new account with administrative privileges, move your data to that account, and you are all set, creating a new account creates a new profile, with a new profile you have the windows default settings for new users.

Looks like i am going to have to do this, is there a quick and efficient way to do this, or any way you would recommend?
#1 you're a dumbass (j/k)
#2 you know that there is a option to just hide all the icons right? You don't have to delete them.
#3 just format and reinstall. You probably need it anyway since it's been a while and it's better to start fresh.
