"Disk I/O error" for floppy disc with dos program on it for XP for flashing bios

i followed the instructions how to make a bootable floppy disc with dos on it using xp to create one, and i did it and reboot my computer and this error came up "disk I/O error" whats wrong? what does that mean?


Im trying to flash bios for my ATI card.

Take the floppy and throw it at the wall or something. I'm pretty sure it just means the floppy is dead or partially dead. So grab another disk and try it again. Floppy's have a very short life i've realized.....god i hate floppy's.
