bah... I hate when people make prick comments and then say no flaming intended at the end of their post. Maybe I should specify that HP computers do not come with DVD burners yet. Dell's are customized PCs. Of course you can throw in a DVD burner :

DVD Burners? Anyone?
so for x-mas, i got a DVD burner.
actually i should preface this by the story of my GF shelling out $500 for me to build myself a new computer. so, needless to say, my computer's bad ass now. well, by everyday desktop standards (AMD Anthlon XP 2600+, 512MB RAM, 128MB VC, 333 FSB, 160 GB HD, etc, etc, etc)
the only thing she didn't get me, because i wanted to wait for a good deal, was the DVD burner.
well around x-mas time, i found an Emprex DVD burner for $70 at Fry's Electronics
i'm fuckin' LOVING this DVD burning thing!!!
i just got me another pack of 50 blank DVDs too. my collection has grown from 70 (originally bought DVD, pre-burner) to over 100+
and the quality is EXACTLY like the DVD, i've only had one that came out poorly. out of like 30+ so far
and i have a buddy who works at blockbuster that brings me the movies for free to burn. and he also gets me the OEM casings for the DVDs. not the blockbuster ones, but the original ones.
i fuckin' love this.
anyone else in the "DVD Burner Club"?
ghost

Try using another buring software. Like Record Now or Prassi Promo DVD.
I use TMPGEnc to convert Divx mpegs to mpeg-2 for DVD burning. Works most of the time.
