whats up guys? I got a quick question....does anyone know what type of video files the ipod video supports?

acctually only .h264 you need quicktime pro ($30) from mac. Its a ripoff.
I just got my itunes today

Can't you guys read the box?
It only plays .m4v (same as Sony PSP) and .mp4 as long as it's wide res is no larger than 320

can someone gimme a quick videora ipod converter tutorial??? since i'm computer illiterate
i click "convert", then "one-click transcode", i select the video, then that file shows up in the queued box...... then what??

I use Videora to convert pretty much any file to a supported .MOV file for the Ipod Video. It's a free program so you don't have to line Apple's pockets by having to "buy" quicktime pro. You can check it out here.

h.264 suppport has been limited on the Ipod so I typically just go with a custom encode using Videora. Frame cap on the Ipod I believe is 30FPS and the resolution is 320x240 so keep that in mind. The custom profile I use in Videora is as follows..
Mode: MPEG-4 > CBR
Bitrate: 768 kbps
Resolution: 320x240
Framerate: 29.97 fps
Passes: One
