just got Vista and now speakers wont work -
ok.. well i just got Vista, and it working fine... i lovez it .. but anyway, down on my tool bar, with the litttle speaker thing it says " no audio out-put device installed" and when i try and change my sound settings it says "no audio devices are installed"...? wtf.. should i just be able to have my speakers hooked up in the back and they should work automaticly?... i was running windows XP before and everything was fine.. but now i got no sound at all.... What do i doo

call microsoft, bugs are gonna be found all over vista, some ppl may have difference side effects of the bugs, some may have a perfect running system. so just call and they will most likely send you a patch or something.

Did you update the OS? Every time I have installed Vista it does not install the sound drivers by default, I had to do windows update.

boot into the BIOS and disable or enable onboard sound. witch everone works
with vista you have to have speakers pluged in or it turns it off.
