Laptop HALP!!
so i went out and bought....

but the bitch was so loaded with crap, that seriously i just reformatted to XP, and yea vista pissed me off.

anyway, i got all the drivers off of HP's website, and then i even got some drivers from here

so yeah.... problems.

1) my quick buttons dont work. no volume control no quick launch for dvd's nuthing.
2) it says i have no audio devices installed.
3) the drivers for the wireless are installed but the driver is not selected or some shit
4) i cant even hardwire into my router to get connected to the webs. it doesnt even recognize me putting in the cable.


WTF!?


maybe if i reformat back to vista? using MY vista. BTW i shoulda did the system backup shit before i did this, but i fucking fail.

your first problem was purchasing a computer from best buy. your second problem is that the computer is an HP. if the drivers you downloaded aren't working, then they're the wrong drivers. the exact model number should be printed somewhere on the bottom of the machine. you should also refer to any documentation that came with the computer to make sure exactly what hardware is in it. hp tends to use a huge variety of different hardware, even in the same line of laptops/desktops.

you need the XP ultimate drivers CD, i found a copy on forumw.org everytime i run into an issue where i need a driver i pop that disc in, tell the system to search the disc..and sure shit drivers installed and working properly, hasnt failed me yet, laptop or desktop
