Need Help Router Not Working

Everything was fine till about 4 days ago when i saw that i wasnt connected to my router, so i try to connect back and the connection is not found, i refresh like 10 times not there, so i go to the living room and i see that the internet lite on the router is not lit up. I unplug both router and modem to let them reset and i plug both back up and still the internet light wont come light up on the router, i can hook up directly to the modem and get internet fine, but if i try to go threw the router, all I can do is connect to the router but it has limited connectivity because it has no internet signal.

yes, there should be a recessed button at the back that you have to hold in with a pen. I had routers that would only respond to the reset, unplugging and plugging back did not work.

Contact your service provider to try and troubleshoot it, and if they cant fix it, call the company your router is made by, and have them go thru to make sure all the correct ports are open.

that is strange. Bad cable from the modem to the router maybe...

or your signal may have become too weak, then you need to call your provider to make sure. However the connection straight from the modem would not have worked either, so this is a head scratcher.
