i ask myself this sometimes. how do i know if my emails and my pc are being hacked? is there a way for anyone to hck into my pc while i am on the net and extract information from my files? and how about in my emails?

anti virus and anti spyware. make sure that you get one that either updates itself at least daily, or one that you will update yourself on a frequent basis. run full system scans weekly as well.

Make sure if your on a wireless network to use WEP encryption. Basically anyone who can get on your network all they need to do is be next to it , they will see it then if its open they can go on your network and dependant on your windows sharing or firewall settings can go in check out pictures , download content and who knows what else if there smart.

wow too many thingsto reply to..........ill try anyways here it goes yes anyone if they want to can get into your shit, firewalls,antivirus all that shit has no effect anti spyware has no place as it is irrelevant to the question...MIKE............WEP is only so strong, ive broken it in under an hour
on the positive side...if you have a home network set up and you get a wireless intruder, if they join your workgroup you get full admin rights to their pc
