b16/b18

i have a 1996 gsr but i detonated the motor and punched a hole in my exhaust valve. i traded my ruined b18 head for a b16. the only thing is is that im not sure which head gasket to use... the b16 or the b18.

Think about it- if the head bolts up to the block, wouldn't logic dictate that the gasket must be the same?

you lose .2 off your compression ratio with a b16 head. nothing drastic. stick with an oem 3 layer headgasket.

As long as you use your GSR cams in the B16 head you probably won't notice any performance difference. If you have some adjustable gears maybe get the new head milled slightly to get compression back up.
