i would start with a new radiator, water pump, lo temp thermostat, so it could kick the fan on earlier. never owned a crx but I had an Ef and it had two fans, so I would guess the crx had two also, but start with the part listed.

my 88 rex had 2 fans as did my 89 dx and my 88 prelude. but yeah start with the simple stuff thermostat, coolant levels, i would have the system flushed, check the water pump, oil level and condition (low or old oil isn't as effective at reducing friction) and then look at a second fan honestly the fan should only be a factor at an idle.

check to see if you can fit in a full width integra radiator.

Add in a bottle of redline water wetter.

Are you using a 50/50 coolant/water mix or all water?

Also, have you checked for a blown headgasket?
