Question !!Decided to go N/A need help!!

I decided imma go for this, does anyone know where i could pick up some new a6 pistons?? Also how about the bottom end? does anyone even make crank's for the D series? if not what's the strongest crank to use from the stock D series motors??

I am planning to use a y8 head with my y7block. I have a friend that can port and polish the head and intake manifold (i figure use the manifold from a y8) for me. Throw in an aftermarket cam. (what company has an agressive cam that would also work decent enough for street use?? I was thinking a Gude looked best??). Also i would just use an OBD1 ecu from an ex. Then just bolt on's from there. I figure the most expensive thing to buy and install will be the cam so it shouldn't be all that hard. Anyways any opinions/corrections would be greatly appreciated.

I would post this in the all motor thread but it seems to be dead

edit*- i know you cant' put B series pistons or heads into/onto any d series motor but could you use the rods or crank??

Damnit mods move me to civic-tech...wrong window my bad ...lol

You cant use rods or a crank from any b series, I havent heard anything good about gude products, I bet crower or crane has a cam for you motor they are both good reputable companies. DONT let your friend port your head unless he is really qualified and experienced. I dont know your friend, he could be totally qualified but im just saying porting honda heads to make more power isnt as easy as just grabbing a dremel and goin crazy. What kinda power numbers are you lookin for outta the d series?

I did some research and acura Integra B18A-B motors rods fit in the D16 engines. You'll have to resize the small end bore of the rod by rebushing it for the smaller pin of the civics engine and lathe the big end bore thickness to civic specs. (good for up to 300whp), so ill probably go with that.

He completly builds engine's (mostly V-8's) and does nice work, and i've seen his engines run  .

Im looking for around 170ish at the flywheel, if i get more ill be suprised.
