dynoing with my tranny

since i have the f22 tranny with an h22, would it be fair if i took the average of a pull in 3rd and 4th gear? the average of the 2 gear ratios are 1.059 (3rd is 1.185 and 4th is 0.933). thats a lot closer to 1:1 than the 3rd and 4th gear

not sure what the hell you said up there.
But the 4th gear is still the closest to the 1:1 by the numbers you put up there. You are only cheating yourself if you do 3rd gear pulls, and then I will have to call you a ricer

Do a first gear pull and see how much real POWER you're putting down...

just kidding.

Use 4th.

na the reason why i ask is because the 4th gear in my tranny is actually lower than 1:1, so i guess that would mean that my dyno would come out lower than other h22 dynos. if i avg my 2 runs, i would get 172whp, which is around what other untuned h22's get with bolt-ons.

3rd gear (1.185) pull - 178whp
4th gear (0.933) pull - 167whp

Avg gear ratio - 1.059
Avg whp for the 2 gears - 172

do u get what i'm saying now? im not saying im only going to dyno in 3rd gear...

or does it not work like that? eh whatever tho.

The goal is to be as close as possible to your 1:1 even if it is less than that
