engine storage!

I have a spare motor laying outside waiting for me to build it up but till then is the motor going to rust interally? Is it bad for it? If so wats the proper way to store them? thanks

hey this may sound funny but fill it up with new oil all the way fill it up to the fill hole then fill up the cylinder i think that will work and put in a bag what u have to look out for is mosture but if it full of oil then it can't get in again new oil not used cheap sh!t

i know this guy who puts kerosene to store engines but he has them in the dry, says the kerosene also helps to clean all the parts of sludge and varnish.
he's pretty damn good mechanic but i would mix a can of seafoam in with it. how long is this engine going to sit?

If the engine is sealed, then throw a tarp over it and it will be fine. If the head is off, or valve cover, etc... then move it inside. You can smear diff lube or transmission fluid on the cylinder walls every six months and it'll be fine.
