first off, how is gear oil related to brake fluid??? i don't get it. if you dont know where to put your brake fluid maybee you should ckeck the owners manual. as far as mixing them, it's fine as long as you dont mix DOT 5 w/ anything accept DOT 5. and yes, everycar with a maula tranny has gear oil. check your manual as to what type it takes also. if you need help changing the gear oil do a SEARCH. you will find it.

being even more specific DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT BRAKE FLUIDS.....DOT 3 and DOT 4 are not recommended to mix but it can be done.... Do not mix DOT 5 and DOT 5.1....and you shouldnt even be putting synthetic brake fluid into your system because the synthetic brake fluid will leak past the seals in your M/C and make shit fuck up.....but do what you want

DOT 5 is silicone based instead of glycol based(i think it glycol?). there are pros/cons to both types of fluid. i have never used SBF so i cannot comment personally on it's performance, but i would recommend it. and NO it does not fuck up the seals. It actually protects them. The reason people get fucked up seals is b/c they aren't doing the transaction from glycol to silicone properly. the two do not mix-chemically. and if they are mixed it will cause a chemical rxon and severly mess up the system. b/f you put SBF in your car you need to completely flush the system, and then blow out the brake lines by disconnecting them from the mc for a good 10-20 minutes w/ a high pressure chuck.

if your system is not setup for DOT 5 then it will leak past the seals due to the fact that the molecules for synthetic compounds are so much smaller thus allowing them to leak past M/C seals....BTW DOT 3 and 4 are petrolium based
