Does anyone know of a good tuner around the Oklahoma - Texas area? for a N/A set up. Im about to buy a VAFC and I want to tune it right when I get it hooked up. Im also looking at a Toda Spec C package in the future and would like quality tunner working on my car.

Totally agree with you there. Although I can possibly see why they are rude and charge so much: they probably get all of the ricer, teen, no-job/no-money having kids who want to put a monster arse turbo on their stock HX and think it'll make 1000 hp. They probably got embittered dealing with that and just grew jaded because of it. They also probably raised the prices to drive said crowd away. Still, I think it alienates the rest of us who are serious and realistic. I don't think I'd ever go to Jotech to get anything done even though they do have some good tuners and do great work. That being said, you should also look into Intercrew Auto Salon in Richardson, TX. It's in the D/FW Metroplex. They do alot of N/A stuff (lots of B20 and LS/VTECs) but can do anything you want (they are doing my JRSC install here in Feb/Mar time frame). They have a reputable Hondata tuner and won't gouge you on the price. Their number is 214-575-6288. Phillip is the man to speak to. Good luck! 2:

Also, I would not get the VAFC. My friend had one on his 2000 ITR and he said it really wasn't worth it. Even after he got it tuned by his tuner, eventually the ECU corrected for some of the gains he made. Not all, but some. If you really want engine management, save your pennies for a Hondata. Especially if you are having plans for Toda Spec Cs. Just my opinion on that.
VAFC does the same tunning a Hondata does; Doesnt it?
Umm no,, not even close.

Hondata just comes with options like launch control and stuff. I just need somthing that tunes Air/Fuel mixture and sets VTEC crossover
When you adjust your fuel setthing through a VAFC, your really just makign the motor lie to the ECU. Hondata actuailly conatins altered fuel/ timing maps that greatly help you take advantage of the Hp you have.
HEY I was wondering if you have a contact number for MZM in Austin. I'm in San Antonio TX and I would hate to drive 5 hours to Dallas to tune my car. If anyone knows anymore good tuners close to San Antonio that'd help me greatly.
