hey all. Ive been offered a couple of engines for a price thats almost too good to be true a) a ctr b16a with gear box to suit da for $250nz and b) b18c2 with vtec controller and headers etc for $450 with no box.
it was a hard decision so im buying both
So what to do.. I heard you can put the ctr pistons in the b18c if so i would do that swap and use the b16a head on the b18c and then all the parts im left over with would go towards my turbo engine...
Sound good?
as usual i need good ideas...

sounds good...are you going to turbo the b18c2? btw, what car does the b18c2 come out of? are the b18 pistons not better than the CTR? whats the c/r on the CTR and the b18c2 pistons?

Oh sorry you seem to have misunterstood my plan...
The reason i want to use the ctr pistons in the b18c is because you end up with massive compresson around 11:1 we will see how that goes. I will probably turbo the b16a with the b18c pistons in it(low comp) as i want to use loads of boost rather than have to rev the tits off it.

Just had a thought. I might just replace the gen1 b16a that ive alredy got with the ctr one and then turbo the b18c for more capacity i maybe able to sell the ctr engine if anyone still wants them
