Grounding Kits

Anyone have one of these or heard of one? I was thinking about getting one but I did not know if it was worth it or not.

Those grounding kits are nice, but expensive for what they are. Just head down to the local car audio store and pick up some good 8 gauge wire and some ring terminals and replace all the factory ground wires in the engine bay. Battery to chassis, battery to engine, engine to chassis, ect.

However, it's really not worth it on a newer Honda as the factory grounds are very good. Unless you have a high power audio system or are having problems with you factory grounds, it's not worth the time and effort.

It's a very popular WRX mod as the factory grounds are rather crappy.

Why it works (originally writen by WRXed on clubwrx, net).

Quote:
Computers can be easily confused when it comes to differences in "ground". Since the signals are usually based off of a "zero" point (not necessary literally zero), it is possible for the computer to get confused if the zero point is moving around. This would be caused by the ground drifting, which can be avoided by putting multiple grounds down to create a single large one.

"2002 WRBP WRX" is right. just get the 4 gauge ground wire (used for high power amplifier) it is around $1 / foot or less. u just get 10 ft or more (up to u) & the terminals. & hook it up. i just did it to my GSR and i felt great. dunno why but i can feel the throttle rev steady & hard at high rpm. maybe my G has bad grounding before....by the way, just try it.

(recommandation---mod for cheap).
