Help With My Civic???

I just got my 98 Honda Civic LX 4dr 5 speed today. I've been looking around researching parts and whatknot. I was just wondering what the best Cold Air Intake, Headers, Short Shifter, Exhaust system or other performance parts would be the best for performance wise for my car? Also can you interchange parts with other model? Like mine is a LX model but could I put a exhaust system, headers ect. from a different model like a DX or EX? Would I also have to modify it in some ways?

Thanks,
Jason

i don't know which engines come in which trim verisons (LX, DX, etc)
what kind of engine will you be re-using the parts from? what kind of engine do you have now?

if you don't know, pop the hood and look at the headers, then look a few inches left and a few inches down. there is a little metal tab. it may be dirty, so get a rag and scrub the grime off. there will be a series of numbers and letters engraved. as soon as you find out which engine you have and which engine you had , we can answwer your questions better.
it will probably be something close to D15B7 orB16A2.
