hesitation at low rpm??

I dont understand, I am having hesitation at on my takeoff, seems to stop after vtec kicks in..Could it be that my IAC sensor is going bad? Check engine light is on.. I have a automatic ecu for my manual tranny, maybe this is the reason for trouble code? Some takeoff, engine seems to be struggling for air when 1st and 2nd gear reaches a certain rpm... What do you all think the cause of this is?

check your oil. if you're low it'll hesitate at low rpms but pick up as they get higher.
