I just purchased an 89 prelude with 126,000 miles. I checked the ATF and it looks pretty brown but does not smell burnt and is pretty clear, I contacted the previous owner and they never had it changed. The car drives fine it shifts a little harder then normal but is not delayed or slipping. I was going to have the ATF changed but I have heard from a few people that this can cause more damage then just leaving the old ATF in. They say that it can cause slipping and leaks. I dont know what to do...please help!
