I/H/E recommendation..

2001 Civic Ex, 5speed

Starting with the basic I/H/E mod, looking for recommendations on brands and a good place to purchase from. BTW I want to keep my sleeper/stock feel, so keep the muffler noise to a minimum.

Also anyone who has this exact mod what kinda hp, 1/4 increase you see.

I could sit here dude and tell you about all the different types of mods for your car, but it would be a waste of both our time, considering there is a search button at the top that will answer your questions in no time. :

i could tell you a billlion things you wouldn't want to hear as well. Would help if you posted up a price range .. or else it will be ..

Mugen intake $700
Mugen header $1300
Mugen exhaust $900

Also use the search.

But, i'd recomend AEM CAI, DC Sports header, and Apex'i n1, Mugen Twinloop, or a buddy club spec exhaust.

I've heard that the Thermal RD exhaust is quiet, as well as the Apex'i World sport. As for an intake, I recently saw a Dyno sheet in the latest Super Street, that showed a 9 WHP (WHP!!!!) increase with the AEM V2 intake.

I'm not sure which header produces the most power, but then again, it all depends on what part of the powerband you want your power to be in. Some provide better high end, while others provide better mid range.

I used to have the DC Sports 4-2-1 CC header on my 94 Prelude VTEC, and was very satisfied with the results as well as the sound.

~Peace

Here's a recommendation:
Dont' waste your cash on I/H/E unless your wanting to build up the engine to NA beast.

with the 25 max HP your gonna gain on good brand I/H/E it's not worth it.

just go turbo like I did.

here are some figures

Headers - $400.0
Intake - $280.00
Cat-back exhaust - $600.00
total$1200.00 give or take $100 assuming your buying the good stuff

for $3500.00, I'm making 100HP more than stock and loving every minute of it. If you really wanting to improve your 1/4.
Or drop about $6K+ to build an NA monster

if you want a header, ger the power core from landspeedracing.com. it delivered the highest Hp increase on the D series out of any header tested by Sport compact car

Or just boost the fucker, and go muctang hunting
