you will have to drill and tap the holes... but honestly you dont need them.. im not sure why honda puts them in there, but we ahve built a number of lsvtecs and b20vtecs and never used the squirters. the b20's we do turn 8500 rpms and make around 185hp and last.. we dont use the squirters

That's true...the main purpose is cooling pistons and increasing longevity but, that comes at a price because the fluid drag it introduces causes a slight power loss, in face ALOT of the really high HP drag cars remove them for that reason.
But, the longevity is not a big issue, you may not last 100K+ miles without them but, chances are if you built your motor in the first place you won't expect it to last that long. The only real benefit I have noticed was on a friends LS turbo, fully built, overbore, etc. Oil squirters did help his detonation problems.

explain to me how lubrication is EVER bad on an internal combustion engine?

I never said it was bad...I did however say it causes fluid drag which is the only downfall really but, it is negligable, and not enough to effect anyone aside from pro racers...I know you like to start fights on the net and misquote people all day because you have no life so try to remember that before you quote...or mis-quote someone.

Mods: Caddy is for sale, Rx7 is for sale to make way for the DA

they ARE needed for high rpm usage thats why honda put them there to cool the pistons

NO they arent a requierment but it does help the longevity of the engine and reduced piston temp to reduce the chance of detonation

if you have to resort to oil squirters to prevent detonation then you need to find a new tuner. :

and how is an engine running cooler bad? i mean seriously as EGHYBRID pointed out the only downside to these would be for a professional racer and no one here is one, i personally like the added safety and that thought that my engine would last longer due to less stress on the engine from heat, but no doubt that the comment that i quoted from you is true
