resonators?

hey,
I just got a custom exhaust system for my integra. 2.25 inch pipe from cat back, with a 4 inch round magnaflow muffler. My friends accord has magnaflows on it and its not overly loud but still sounds unrestricted. Mine is super loud. I want to know how much a resonator will quiet the loudness of my exhaust. Thanks
