Running Rich.
ok so i had to put the d15b7 back in my car so i can build the d16. so, it runs pretty rich and is sluggish. i've already checked the timing and its right. what do you think hotter plugs? wires maybe?
What was in the car before you put your d15 back in? Is your current ECU mapped for the d15? Is it a tuned ECU? If your timing is right, then I would look at the fuel maps.
If the ECU was set up for a different engine, or was on a custom tune for whatever other engine you had in there, your A/F may be totally out of wack. It's also possible you are running very lean, since the car will bog and be sluggish while running lean just like when it's rich. In any case, since you did a swap, I'd guess A/F unless you have tuned ECUs that stay with each engine setup.
Check the plugs if you want to see if there are signs that could verify your assumptions.
Unless you're sure it's running rich, I'd go real easy on her. Although it could be dangerously rich too; you could still wash out your cylinder walls and get some gas between the piston rings and such....you ain't gonna want that stuff to go boom.

it was just a usdm d15b7. just as a hunch i replaced the os sensor and a sensor i found to be bad on the intake manifold. it made it a little better. i did pull the plugs at first and they were wet with gas. but the other day i found that the filter on my intake wasn't flowing barely any air through it even after cleaning it. so i took it of and it seems to be running right. still a little rich but not like before.

Cool, yea as long as the ECU was stock, then it would be a much simpler fix. That sensor on the intake manifold (if it's the one I'm thinking of) may cause the car to randomly rev at idle by itself. If the O2 sensor was bad, it would be sending the wrong info to your ECU, and in your case it was probably holding the injectors open too long.
Stock air filter? What filter are you running now?

yea it was the sensor on the back of the manifold making it idle bad so it got replaced. i have a ractive short ram and the air filter was garbage. so i have a screen on it now and the car rund great at when driving but it idles like its going to die. not sure if ts the fuel or if something needs adjusting
