shudders when taking off
hey guys,
i just recently started having problem with my 92 acura intagra gs, sometimes when i go to put the car in any gear, it wont go in, and when it goes in, the cars idle drops and feels like its gonna die, when i go to take off, the car shudders like no tomorrow! it stops and starts this problem here and there. im thinking maybe my clutch is goin, just would like some advice as to what others may think. any advice would be muchly appreciated!
thanks
Either your master or slave cylinder is bad or there is air in the line between them... Because of this the clutch isnt being fully engaged making it very difficult to put the car in gear while running.
Forgive my diagnostic approach, I've been watching a lot of House lately. You have been warned.
The two problems may be unrelated. The clutch may be dying in and of itself and needs to be replaced, and the shuddering sounds more like a vacuum leak. Possibly a bad intake manifold gasket that's letting extra air in under vacuum?

im pretty sure it is related to the clutch. i just bought the car so im finding stuff out. the clutch is adjusted way to tight i think as well, there is no slack in the clutch at all, and i think theres supposed to be like and inch or somthing, so maybe the clutch isnt quite disengaging enough? i have a friend with a shop and is a fully qualified mechanic so tomorrow is monday im gonna take it to him for a diagnostic.
