umm please explain your logic there. rwd and high hp are fine. fwd and high hp aren't fine. it's called physics. when you accel weight shifts to the rear tires giving you traction. and in turns with the right suspension you won't understeer like you would with a fwd car. it's all about throttle control not hp. 300hp wouldn't be hard to manage at all. just get lsd, nice tires, and proper sway bars, traction bars etc.

I just did a quick search on Ebay and there around $4500 for motor and tranny so it's only $1500 more then a gsr swap with double the hp and a ton more tq.

rwd with high horses is sweet, all i meant was that when the guy with the vette engine was trying to corner on the track, the over steer seemed awful, and we have to assume he put alot of money in it, suspension, body stiffining ect.. it seemed the car, being built to be a front wheel drive, was not balanced enough overall, not enough weight in the right places to be anything other than a drift car, or a really expensive toy. im not arguing that a fwd modded with that horsepower would be more fun, but i would think it would be more driveable, and a whole lot cheaper than 25k. not really trying to get burned over this. and im not thinking im a pro either. just pointing out another side to think about.

ok. i c where you are coming from. i thought you were trying to say that rwd and high hp was bad. but you're right about what the body was built for. alot of people don't understand about what happens to the performance when you change the dynamics of the body like that
