THOSE WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH ZC MOTORS

I have a 91 civic with a ZC swap inside. Its been in for almost a year and i ahve a rear main seal leak. and a RPM prob.
1) IS the seal circular or is it two part, cuz a friend said if so i can replace it without removing the transmission.
2) Last week , i was shockingly beat by a focus...as i noticed when i was driving my rpms were loud at only 4 grand. Later that night found that it was redlining at 5000 rpms...and will not go over. IS that an ecu problem? Or is that something else? EVen if the gas is floored wit wont go past 5000, im a lil confused.
