Question Throttle rough in one spot upon acceleration

Would anyone know why, upon a slow acceleration from a dead stop, why I'm having a spot on the throttle were the engine starts to run rough? Like the fuel gets lean in this one position. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, other times it worst. If I do a quick accleration, there's no problem. Out on the open highway, it has great acceleration. But if I'm in stop and go traffic, it will act up at times. The car is a 91 Honda Accord with 163,000 miles. All general maintaince has been kept up on the car. Just had the plugs, new coil, rotor, rotor cap, replaced.
My technician is trying didn't things, but I figure I'd try to help him out to see if anyone else out there has experienced anything like this.
Thanks

TPS

You should check the TPS, Throttle Position Sensor with a ''scope''
to see on a graphic how the sensor work.

it coud be also a too restricted exhaust, like if the cathalitic converter is destroy and block exhaust.

Do the check engin light on ?

I had just about the same problem brother, and it was the plug wires. If you didn't them already, also did you check to see if the timing is correct?

Smile

I appreciate your responses.
I have had the engine light come on in the past. As soon as the engine was turned off and restarted, the light went out and haven't had it come back on. I've had a larger muffler put on but, the cat is the original factory with 163,000 miles on it, so thats a very good possibility.
I'll have my tech check it all out. Think he's running out of ideas.
If anyone else has any possiblities, please let me know. Thanks again.
