[quote=fastshift;4039397]haha i had a couple of questions like those as well but one thing i gotta ask now. how big was the truck? this question might be dumb but if the motor was outta pretty big truck wouldn't u need bigger wheels so u get right speed on ur speedometer? or can u get a custom VSS or is there one out there for such occasion?
o plus i used to live in MN 2 years ago and its a shame i can't come over to experience this great swap
well... if you want sometime come up to wisconsin lol...anyways the engine came out of an old monte carlo...and for the speedo... when i mentioned i was sponsored by cyberdyne, they gave me tons of stuff anything i wanted really and the gave me a speed sender converter to electronic for a chevy 350.. i will most likely be going will all custom guages anyways

cool man!
Looking good thus far! It never ceases to amaze me why anybody would want to hack up a perfectly nice body just to put in a bigger motor, hehehehe; then again, "we" did it so it can't be too bad. Except, it's not in a crx, but yet a coupe. Didn't take long for the original combination to be installed, however, there has been a bunch of modification since then that has proceeded to making it a lot nicer and a little more track worthy. Although, it still hasn't seen the track yet.. Will try to get some more pics of "our" little v8 honda up soon. Hope you likey =) Keep up the good work

back to the topic at hand. interesting project, i would like to see the finished product. this kinda reminds me of that guy from i think it was hondatech who fitted a civic body on a vette chassis. that was pretty badass.

It all depends on the vehicle the engine's in, the transmission, and how you drive it. but yeah you're right

either way fully built 4 cyls do not sip gas and in most cases have worse gas mileage than today's v8 sports cars equivalents. and the 4 cyl makes a fraction of the power. 3169 lbs vettes making 505 hp on 7 liter v8's pulling in 27+mpg over mid 90's civic coupes and a s2k's pulling in the same if not worse mpg. but you know already knew that. i just think it's funny that a twin turbo 1.3 rotary barely ways anything less than a 5.7 liter v8

thats almost not a fair comparison the LS7 was built to Efficiently push out high HP (lets face it, it wasn't the first SBC to put out 500+ HP people have been doing it for years but they also drank gas) and Honda apparently only had one thing in mind with the F20C make as much reliable power as possible with a N/A 2.0 they didn't seem to care much for MPG with that engine, this is the same manufacturer that in the 80s gave us a car that got 50 MPG way before the whole hybrid thing took off. all that aside i do see your point
