what are the most usefull to have in my sol?i have a b16a sir.am sure i need the 1)oil temp gauge and after that i don't know which 2 too choose (i will use a TRIPLE PILLAR POD ).2)oil pressure,3)water temp,4)air/fuel,5)vacuum,6)transmission temp.i don't know exactly their uses.any help?what do you guys have in your sols?
To be honest, you won't need any of those gauges unless you are boosting or going major n/a upgrade for race.
I say save up your money for other upgrade.
no am not planning to boost my sol,but i want to keep it as healthy as i can i only have an weapon r intake with pipe, obx racing spark wires,a voltage stabilizer,a tenrai catback exhaust,a high flow catalytic converter, and the last thing am planning are some racing headers.
Your car will be fine as long as you keep replacing needed parts on time.
Why don't you change your radiator to the aluminum radiator? It will make huge difference of engine temperature. Seriously, you don't need extra gauges to make your car "healthy". I see your view too but it's totally not necessary.

TRUE...if anything maybe an oil pressure wouldnt be bad..but other than that the rest would be pretty useless
oil pressure would let you know if you were low on oil or had a pump problem...that would be usefull, but def not nessasary

well i got air/fuel ratio oil press and boost but thats because i got a turbo but i dont see any point if ur not boostin like everyone else said but i think those 3 gauges will do good in the future for ur boosted sol
if you have a v-tech controler or any type of aftermarket fuel parts an air/fuel gauge can be handy for tuning and seeing if your running rich or lean. if you stay stock it still would be fun to look at. a trans temp gauge can come in handy too, just to be safe.
The only one I can see being useful in a DD car with minimal modifications would be oil pressure. The main purpose would be to warn of a failure of a component that could lead to engine failure. This is probably overkill with proper maintenance.
With turbo/super, I would go with oil pressure, A/F ratio (with a wideband o2), and boost. Those three should help you diagnose most problems that you would run into with a F/I setup.
If your car is OBDII, you can use a Scanguage II to monitor air/water temp, voltage, load and other parameters. Costs about $150.

dont say shit unless u know what youre talking about...there is too much misinformation on this site because people say things that they dont know to be true...like i said, an AIR FUEL DOES DICK UNLESS ITS A WIDEBAND, PERIOD..and as for the trans temp guage and the "VTECH" controller?...without going into too much detail, lets just say dont take advise from someone who calls hondas Variable Valve Timing and Electronic lift Control "VTECH"

my bad, I didn't mean to ruffle feathers or insult your ways. just trying to be of any use possible. I do not claim to be an expert nor do I insist that anyone else is not. I am simply here for the same reason most people are here. to network, learn what they can and share what they can. If I am wrong correct me, but no need to jump down my throat.

im just sayin, if you say that an air fuel will help, he may spend his hard earned money on a BS waste of space/time...so to be clear, unless you KNOW what youre saying to be true, dont give advice, becuase like you, other people come for advice, and bad advice can get expensive
