Air Cylinders more questions
I have been looking into adding air cylinders to my del sol instead of coilovers because I think it would be sick to pull into a show and drop my sol on the ground. Has anyone done cylinders and how much did they cost you?

The guy who owns the del Sol that was in the first Fast and the Furious is on here somewhere. I think his name is delboxster or some shit. I'll try and figure out what his name is for you...
I had them on my integra for about 24 hours.
I had leak problems, got that fixed with about $300 in tractor trailor fittings, then I had storage problems (to small of a tank), then I had compressor problems (to small of a compressor)
Then I said screw it and I put my lowering springs back in.
So, my opinion on this is, don't cheap out, and don't put air on a daily driver.
I had about $1000 in my setup, most the stuff was used. I think if you want to do it, and make it reliable and user friendly, you could easily spend $2000.
Install was simple, it was comparable to running a stereo to each corner of the car.

Thanks for the info.

Were they all cylinders or were two sleves? Also, were they the direct replace or did you have to cut?

So I found air cylinders from a company EAI. They are no longer in business and all I can get is the cylinders. Does any one know, can I use any valves and compressor? All I want is front up and down, then back up and down, no side to side. What controls how fast this happens, the change in height. I want good control of it so I was thinking that I want it to be a little slower then what I usually see. Thanks for the help.

Yes you can use any valves and and compressor.
As far as speed, that depends on alot of factors. Mostly the vavles control that.
But the size of the air line affects that, the size of your storage tank, how much air you have in the tank. Even which end of the car it is. (front might be typically slower, because of the extra weight of the motor, but the back could go like hell)
