hey he is just a newbie that is all..

no coilovers has the springs with it.. and you can also use your stock struts as well.. however you should get some aftermarket struts while you are installing hte coils.

since this thread is here i want to know which coilover is better?? the skunk2 or ground control????

and i noticed that there's a racing/launch series for the skunk2, so whats the difference??

for now i got a set of coilovers off of ebay and they ride like shit!!! it feels like my springs are cut. too god damn bouncy, it feels like my car has hydraulics everytime i hit a bump or gap in the road, so are the skunk2 or ground control any different or the same???

please give me some input cuz i need new coilovers bad!!!!

For a better ride quality get Ground Contols...For better performance get Skunk2's.

I went skunk2 with tokico illumina. The ground controls are a little more expensive and the ride is a little more comfortable. The skunk2 is a little rougher ride, but handles slightly better. Personally, i would say save a few bucks and go with the skunk2.

Exclamation not that simple

your going to need a lot more to do the job right.
lowering your car affects the geometry of the shocks and causes stress on the tires whether you lower your car with coilcovers or a 200lbs bag of cement, try looking into a camber kit also

If your car is that bouncy, your struts may be blown due to the lowering. Some struts take it, some don't. As dodgecity said, get a camber kit (fairly inexpensive) and upgrade to struts that allow for lowering without a decrease in ride quality. My friend got tokicos, and it rides VERY nice even lowered. Mine rides fine with ground controls on stock struts, so it's all how your stock ones work out. Check www.indysol.com for reviews on diff struts on the sol.

Question what the hell are you talking about

ride quality IS performance!
if your car rides poorly, then i doubt its going to perform any better. smarten up!

i have skunk 2 coilovers and kyb shocks. one thing that you need to realize is that in our sols we are almost sitting on the rear suspention so almost any setup is going to be a little bouncy. i love my suspention it is a little rough but it handles great!!!

ride quality is not performance!

maybe you are just confusing the phrases, so let me explain. Ride quality is comfort of the passengers, you know, absorbing bumps and making everything smooth. Ride quality = softness. Suspension performance is a rating of how well a suspension component handles under harsh driving conditions such as racing or high speed cornering. High performance suspensions are harsh, they are stiff and less comfortable for passengers, but they respond more quickly to driver input and keep the car flatter through the corners, keeping the suspension geometry in the optimal positions for the best traction. Performance = speed and handling.
