Hey I was thinking about doing a GSR swap into my Sol and I found one for sickly cheap($650) w/trans but I don't think I want it anymore. Are the D16 parts good to slap on the D15 for some added horses. Intake manifold? Head? Cam even though its a VTEC cam? Tranny? Etc

***also if anyone is interested in copping that GSR its outta a crashed 96 and the posting is on h on daclassifi eds.com

the intake would work

the head wont because its vtec, which means if you put on a D16 head, you also need the ECU so the vtec will work

the cam wont work either

and the tranny's are different

id say get the GSR

nah i got $1000 worth of parts sitting in my closet right now i still have to install...can't afford the GSR i hope someone else picks it up...will the intake manifold take the stock d15 injectors/TB or should i replace them with the d16's?

it will work if you wanna swap a z6 head on your 15. get a vtec soleniod and different ecu(p28?). this is one of the best upgrades you can get for your d15. close to as many horses as d16z6.

by the way, he can swap on a 16 head without vtec. not all d16 heads are vtec.

i meant it will only work if he gets the ECU and the other stuff

it wont work if he just takes the head and throws it on there without the ECU

alright forget the head what about the intake manifold? would d15 injector and throttle body fit on there or would i have to swap both of them from the d16? if i swap them from the d16 would the sensors read the same with the d15 ecu?

why not just go get a skunk2 intake manifold or something aftermarket.

going from a d15 to d16 manifold isnt going to barley do anything at all
